It's that time! Please help us pick the cover for the next book. It's our first illustrated children's book, coming in January. Please vote which you like best for I AM AMELIA EARHART. A or B? (And yes, I always lose the vote).
A! (I like them both, but she looks like she's laughing maniacally in B)
B! (I like them both too, but she looks like she's laughing maniacally in B :)
I personally like B
A - loved his work since Mini Marvels, btw!
A - there is a clear excitement from that cover.
I don't know. B seems to be having the time of her life.
A - depicts childhood dreams of flight!
Depends is the book about her wanting to learn to fly and then accomplishing that, or is the book about her career flying. A is better for the former, B is better for the latter.
A is my vote. My wife says A too if she gets a vote as well.
A (though I like both of them)
A ... Like it much better
I like A ... Suggests the process of realizing an ambition, not simply the end result.
BThere's so much joy in it.
I like "A" . Although I love them both, I like the fact that she is wearing her trademark scarf, and there is a red plane in the background. AE is usally associated with her red Lockheed Vega monoplane.. She did fly a yellow, "The Canary", biplane in her early days. Interestingly though AE pretty well always worn slacks as she didn't like her legs! Although AE looks likely she is having a great time in "B" it just doesn't have the same effect as A. My 2 cents forth..
I have to go with A.
I like B. It makes me want to open the book and read it more than what A does.
I like B the best!
A makes her look more like her dreams will come true.
I like A
A. It seems a bit more like a kid dreaming of flight. And I love the big smile and arms spread wide. Cute!
I like B because she is in an airplane.
I like (A) for Christopher Eliopoulos's Avengers art.
I like A better but love that she is sitting in a plane in B. I don't prefer B because she doesn't look like a girl and her laugh is maniacal (as someone said previously). I am sure the book will be a success no matter which cover you choose because you are awesome!
Put a scarf on B, and it's perfect!!! =)
Cover a is more impactful for parents 'to pay for' .. cash
AI think it is better than B and more to the experience of younger children.
They are Both awesome, But I thing for a children should be AEddie Rentas
I really like both but your name is so much easier to read on A, so I'd have to go with that one.
I like B! Looks happier!
I like A.I am still a kid at 68 and was totally drawn to it!
I HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK..AND DON'T HER, IS THIS THE FIRST TIME TO GET'S TO FLY...IF SO I WOULD SAY A, LEAVE THE FLYING A SURPRISE..OTHER WISE THEY ARE BOTH JUST TO CUTE AND ADVENTURES..GREAT SALES ON THE BOOKS...
No doubt, A
As a fellow aviator, I agree A! If B didn't make her to look like a mad women ( maybe a sweet smile with a wave) I would of chosen B because I like the idea of her flying amongst the clouds.
A - Because she looks like a little girl with an imagination!
My 3-year-old sas A.
A is my favorite
I like B
I like them both. I would choose A because the cover shows her passion as a young girl.
I prefer A because it looks more like a little girl
I prefer A because it looks more suitable for children.
I prefer B since it shows her in an airplane. I'm not really too keen on either one though.
I like B, but A is good also
I like A much better because B reminds me of the muppets. The open mouth has the same sharpness as the muppets. I am just looking forward to buying it for my grandkids as they will get a kick out of the fact that "Granny" reads books by the same children's author. :)
B, but A is a good second choice...
I like B the best. Looks more eye catching and intriguing to kids.
B so definitely!!! while both are cute, B gives an indication of contents! annie firstname.lastname@example.org
A is somewhat cliche; I've seen several versions of this. B has the flying mode going for it and the 'little ones' may relate better to the art and subject.
I'm going with B though both are great.
I showed this to my boys (6 and 5), and they say B. They said that A is about a girl and B is about a pilot. I think Amelia is more pilot than girl. And as a grownup girl, I think books about strong girls are good for boys and girls
BShe was a pilot, you know.
It has to be A for sure! Cannot wait for this to come out!
A certainly speaks to me... and both covers are great.
Karen Okal said I love them both but "A" is my favorite!
I pick "A". Looks like she is on the way to making her dream come true........so cute with her arms spread out, ready to fly! Reminds me of a quote I had on a bumper sticker once: "If you were unfortunate enough to be born without wings, do nothing to prevent them from growing".
A. More realistic face and easier to read author's name.
A! Love ya Brad
Both are great but ... I'm voting B. I'm more attracted to A for the artistic image but I don't think a child would see the girl depicted in A as Amelia, a pilot!
Dear Brad: I like A. The other one looks more like Charlie Brown.
A appealed to me more - looked more 'Fun'Good Luck Brad!Rss
My daughter likes A
I love B! As someone who took his first job as a teenager, so that I could afford flying lessons, I feel that B shows the sheer joy and excitement that an aviation lover feels whenever he or she gets behind the stick!
B, for Brad!
I'm partial to A. Plus, your name shows up much better on A.
A is better because Amelia looks female. Amelia in B looks male, and we wouldn't want that because girls wouldn't relate.Margaret
B. I like to think of her as still up in the clouds flying, not on the ground.
My ten-year-old daughter and I both liked B, but we wouldn't refuse to buy it with A on the cover. :)
A - Give us grass and sky & a loop of smoke:)!
I like A. She looks like she's about to set out on an adventure and can't wait.
B!! It looks more like it could be a female than A! My Granddaughter can't wait for this book~she loves airplanes!
B draws the attention the best, and the lettering is more readable and memorable; B is the best choice
B - of course!
B - Chosen by my 5-year-old as the book he'd like to read! : )
A! So cute.
B, even though you can tell its a girl in A. If a little one can't read yet they may think it's a book for boys. Sorry:)
This is Amelia ... it should be "B"
Both are winners....but A you can see it is a girl wearing a skirt (I have a five yr old daughter and I cannot get her to wear anything but dresses..lol) I like B personally but A will be the winner and rightfully so!!!
I liked B better. But neither illustration really looks more "girl"like than the other. MIght be confusing-don;t know how aware little people are these days.
A is the Best!!
I like B for the fact she is in the plane, it isn't just a dream anymore. But you know me Brad, I am always the literal one at the party!!
I love B! It's adorable and looks like how I imagine Amelia might have felt.
Both look like snoopy and the red baron redone choose another.
A for sure!
I like "A"
"A" B looks like pacman
"A"......B looks like pacman
The upper body of A in the plane setting of B.
A. Much nicer face, plus your name is more prominent.Good luck.
Both are nice but A stands out in a better way.
"A" because she looks like a little girl who has always dreamed of flying. In "B" she looks like the 5th grade teacher who terrorized our elementary school -- a crazy, Hitler-esque despot. Not good. P.S. I love all your work!
B -I love B b/c she is so evidently having a GREAT time!!!
I like A - it's more inspirational
I like B but A shows a plane of her era.
I like B the best and so does my husband. BTW, thanks for all the great books. I look forward to every one!
B, definitely B.
A -- I think this is more likely to appeal to a young girl. A young AE running with her arms outstretched and a red scarf and a red plane.... I would've preferred it if she'd worn pants instead of a skirt :-) B makes her look like Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes), not AE.
A - This will definitely be more appealing to a child. B has a "Red Baron"esque flavor that is a little scary.
B) I just like it better!JFT
I prefer A
Definitely A! :-)Her smile is way better, it draws you in much more. I love the plane in the background, her trademark outfit, and your name is also more clear on cover A. Good luck with the new ventures, Brad!
At first I thought B, but then felt A shows her being more female with a skirt on. I want it to be appealing to girls because my daughter chose Amelia Earhart for her historical figure when she was five years old -- based on wanting a female who was not dead (was questionable if and when she actually died).
A Caught my eye...I like it
I choose A. Looks friendly and fun.
A.........looks inviting and kid friendly.
B has more personality. Good luck!
Actually, I'm not fond of either. They're a little "cartoony" for my tasts. However, if I must chose, I prefer A since it shows her as female which is significant.
I don't like either one all that much, but A is better than B. A looks like a kid having fun, which would be appropriate for a children's book, while B just looks rather silly. Cartoonish is the word I saw someone else use to describe it.
definately AShows dreams & excitement of a child becoming a reality
A - the character in cover B appears deranged!
I like both, but I prefer A
A all the way. It shows her dreaming of one day flying and using her imagination. Love it!If you want to turn this into an animated TV series, let me know :)
I like A. And I know it must be the right choice because my 6 year old is next to me and she said the same.
A Please use A
MY 12 year old grandson says its obvious that b is it because shes driving an airplane DAA.I feel that As picture of the girland Bs airplane would attract the little girls who still believe that dreams come true.
B! She's in an airplane and that's how children (and some adults) relate to her.
Of the two, I like A the best.
I like the look of the girl's happy face in A.B's picture could be of a boy.
I like the plane concept of B but the face used in A. Your name also stands out better in A. If I had to pick one of the two it would have to be B.
my 6 year old daughter said she liked B because " it looks like fun"
I like them both but would choose A. It shows the imagination of a child dreaming of being a pilot, outstretched arms, soaring through the clouds in their mind. Love it!
My 9 year old daughter said A. She said she knew she was a pilot but she just liked A better. I lean toward A as well!
Go with A, please.
I vote for A!!
B Definitely. In one quick look, it tells you everything. A is more vague.
A for sure! Love that she "sees" herself as a future pilot as a kid and ends up fulfilling that dream! :D
Although neither looks like Abe Lincoln; I far prefer "A".
I go for AAAA all the way!!!
A!! Reminds me of what Jor El says in Man of Steel; 'What if a child dreamed of becoming something other than what society had intended? What if a child aspired to something greater?'Mr. Kelley
A+ on A
